Remote Desktop for the Mac
AnyDesk publishes first public beta for macOS
Stuttgart, 07 July 2016 – AnyDesk, the remote desktop software specialists (www.anydesk.com), are for the first time presenting a Mac version of their solution of the same name. The public beta can now be downloaded for macOS, supplementing the existing Windows and Linux versions. This software enables users to conveniently control a computer via the Internet by remote access. For example, AnyDesk can be applied by users to access their own computer at home or in the office from any location. Companies use AnyDesk for remote maintenance, support operations and for shared projects in teams or working groups.
The first public beta version of AnyDesk for Mac offers all the basic remote access and remote desktop functions. With secure encrypting standards (TLS 1.2) it also meets high demands in terms of data protection and IT security.
Like all AnyDesk versions, the Mac application has the advantage that it enables especially fast and smooth remote operations. This is ensured by the integrated DeskRT video codec, with the high image refresh rate and low latency which are provided by special compression and caching processes. This also enables application scenarios which have so far been difficult to imagine with other remote solutions – for example the extended operation of complex applications on remote computers.
When the final version has been completed, the fully functioning and stable Mac version will feature all the functions which are familiar from the other platforms. For example, they include audio and file transmission.
"Just as with the Linux version, our priority with the Mac solution, too, was not to enter into any fast compromises but to offer a native and individually adapted solution which will obtain the maximum from its specific platform", explains Andreas Mähler, Managing Director of AnyDesk Software GmbH, adding: "This enables us to offer Mac users high performance, combined with benefits with regard to compatibility and file size."
